Château Labegorce Margaux, located in Bordeaux, exudes a warm climate with sultry summers and mild winters, nourished by a soil of gravel, sand and silt on an extensive vineyard of 70 hectares. The tradition of fermentation in concrete vats is followed by maturation of 12 to 15 months in barriques, 40% of which are new.

The blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot results in a rich, elegant wine with intoxicating aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackcurrants, cherries and plums, with subtle notes of mocca, chocolate, toast and a hint of leather. The finish is long and silky soft, making this wine a perfect match for dishes such as roasted lamb shoulder with garlic and rosemary or a beautiful entrecôte.

info about winery:

Labégorce bears the name of one of its first owners: the Gorce family, who had their eyes on this beautiful estate as early as the 14th century. Until the French Revolution, this domain was one of the largest in the region, until it was forcibly divided following compulsory divisions within the Gorce family. This split led to three separate parts, including Château Labégorce, later known as Labégorce Zédé.

Château Labégorce often changed hands until it was acquired by Hubert Perrodo in 1989. His interest in the estate arose after visiting polo events regularly held at the nearby Château Giscours. Perrodo's goal was to reunite the original parts of the estate into one whole. Unfortunately, he died in a skiing accident after purchasing Labégorce Zédé.

Since the 2009 harvest, the wines from this reunited estate have been re-released under the trusted name Château Labégorce
